Safeguarding is being aware of others and their needs. This means reporting situations where needs are not being met, or where individuals of any age appear to be in a vulnerable situation.

St Thomas’s takes very seriously its responsibilities surrounding the safeguarding of children, young people, and adults who may be at risk – and works in partnership with the Diocese of Salisbury to ensure that we work in accordance with best practice at all times.
St Thomas’s has implemented up-to-date safeguarding policies recommended by the Church of England and Salisbury Diocese. As in any organisation, this process is continuous: we all share the responsibility to promote a safer culture, and we must all be aware of the needs of those who may be vulnerable and respond accordingly.
