Weddings and marriage blessings

Make your wedding vows in the beautiful and historical setting of St Thomas’s. Our clergy are ready to advise and help you plan the big day. If you’re thinking about having your wedding at St Thomas’s, the Parish Office are your first call – they can tell you about available dates and the costs involved.

Before you make firm plans, it’s important to be sure that St Thomas’s is the right church so do have a look at Your Church Wedding which gives details of the different qualifying connections that give you a right to be married in St Thomas’s. The Parish Office refer you to one of the clergy at St Thomas’s who will be in touch, and if you’re not sure about your qualifying connection to the church, they will advise you.

The member of clergy will arrange to meet with you, and together you’ll start to plan the service. Your Church Wedding gives all sorts of ideas about readings, music and the various other things to think about, so have a look at and start to visualise just what you would like.

Services of blessing are often held to give thanks after many years of marriage, and for many other reasons. If you’re thinking about a service of blessing, then please email the Parish Office. One of the clergy team will then get in touch.
