Be a volunteer

No matter what skills and interests you have, St Thomas’s can put them to good use. Maybe you’d like to try something new, meet some new people? Try your hand at gardening, serving coffee – these and many other activities may stimulate, amuse, challenge you! Below are some details.

Flower arranging. We have a dedicated team of 30 flower arrangers who keep the seven arrangements around the church looking beautiful every day for the enjoyment of our many visitors. For more information contact Jill Clark via the Parish Office

Gardening. The gardeners are a small group who maintain and enhance the house garden and churchyards. They welcome new members – no great skill needed but ability to multi-task is an asset! Email the Parish Office. Tea with cake is served at 3pm!

Cleaning. We have five teams of volunteers who clean the church every Friday morning. This means that nobody is overburdened with chores. We welcome anyone – old, young, men and women – who would like to help keep our building looking sparkling clean and tidy. Email the Parish Office.

Technical support. If you’re comfortable and experienced with sound systems or computers, St Thomas’s tech team can always use more help to spread the workload. Email the Parish Office.

Bookstall. We sell second hand and nearly new books every Tuesday and Saturday morning in the Church – Salisbury’s market days. Email the Parish Office.

Coffee mornings. Every Tuesday and Saturday we hold a coffee morning in the People’s Vestry at the East end (front left) of the church. Come and join us and help serve hot and cold drinks, cakes and biscuits.
